Loosen My Load Festival target undecided
Wednesday, 10 February 2010 15:32Henry de Bromhead's smart novice hurdler Loosen My Load is likely to head straight for the Cheltenham Festival without another run.
The six-year-old has only lost once in five starts and was last seen scoring in Grade Two company at Cheltenham in November.
He was then given a break, having been on the go during the summer, but a clash with Dunguib in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle last weekend was given a swerve.
A decision on which race he contests in March will also be taken nearer the time.
'He's really well and I'm very pleased with him,' said De Bromhead.
'He's just tipping away at the moment and we are trying to get him ready for Cheltenham.
'We missed the Deloitte last weekend so I'd say he'll be going straight there now.
'He's entered in both the two-mile and the two-mile-five novices' hurdles so we'll just see what will happen.'
De Bromhead also houses leading Arkle hope Sizing Europe and Sizing Australia, one of the few realistic contenders capable of breaking Enda Bolger's stranglehold in the Cross Country Chase.
'Sizing Europe is in great form and I'm very pleased with him,' added the the County Waterford handler.
'I've got some nice horses to look forward to, what with Sizing Australia going for the Cross Country as well.
'He's in good form, he's run well on the course before so I'm looking forward to him also.
'He's in the National, too, but I'll see what the handicapper gives him.'
