First fences win for Tally Em Up

Tally Em Up secured his first win over fences when staying on well to land the Grade Three Beamish Stout Phil Sweeney Memorial Chase at Thurles.

Philip Rothwell's 8-1 chance travelled nicely just off the pace, before moving upsides long-time leader Bohemian Lass approaching the second last.

Conor Maxwell produced an excellent ride on Will Jamie Run to land the Rock Of Cashel Chase.

The 6-1 chance scooted clear on the turn for home and though Chiraaz closed the gap considerably at the last, Will Jamie Run ran on again to score by one and three-quarter lengths.

Sean Aherne's Springmount (6-1) produced a tremendous battling performance to get back up in the closing stages of the Gift Horse Gallery Horse And Jockey Hotel Handicap Chase, beating Barneys Honour by a length and three-quarters.

Droim Toll (7-1) stayed on resolutely to land the Molony Cup Handicap Chase for trainer Donal Hassett and jockey Paul Townend.
