O'Regan resumes after Aintree fall

Denis O'Regan is looking forward to returning to action at Hexham on Wednesday after being sidelined for over three weeks with a broken collarbone.

O'Regan sustained the injury in a fall from Astarador at the second fence in a handicap chase at Aintree on 25 October.

'We'll see how we go and hopefully everything will go OK,' said O'Regan. I've been riding out this morning. I feel quite well and I'm hoping that with riding tomorrow with a view of looking ahead to the weekend.

'Obviously there's a lot of good racing both days, including the Becher Chase which I won last year (on Black Apalachi). I'd like to be 100% for the weekend and I'll know tomorrow after I've been riding in three races. I'll know if I'm ready or not.'
