Presvis to prep at Lingfield

Presvis looks to have scared off most of the opposition for his scheduled warm-up in the Betdaq Churchill Stakes at Lingfield on Saturday.

Trainer Luca Cumani nominated the 10-furlong Polytrack Listed race as a useful stepping stone before the horse travels to next month's International meeting in Hong Kong.

Presvis has not raced in Britain since September 2008 but his continental trips have produced wins in Dubai, the Group One QEII Cup at Sha Tin in April and seconds in both the Dubai Duty Free and last time in the Singapore Airlines International Cup.

Presvis will have to carry an 8lb penalty but is the highest-rated in the race and his main opponents look to be Henry Cecil's Tranquil Tiger and the Richard Hannon-trained Plum Pudding.
