Preview: Limerick Monday card

Limerick's seven-race card commences at 1.00 with the Greenmount Panoramic Restaurant Maiden Hurdle and Page One Two Nine stands out like a beacon following his Wexford second.

The Michael Moran inmate was a point winner earlier in the year and is likely to be seen at his best over fences in time, but he can certainly pay his way in this code first.

Right Choice looks the most likely challenger if bouncing back from a too-bad-to-be-true performance at Tipperary.

Edward O'Grady's Rigour Back Bob is the obvious one in the Adare Maiden Hurdle.

The four-year-old was a ready bumper winner at Ballinrobe in May and shaped with encouragement in fourth on his recent jumping bow at Cork.

Stable companion Well Aggie is worth a second look in the betting, while Gowran bumper runner-up Milanette has a chance if taking to obstacles.

Call The Police won his bumper in comfortable fashion at Clonmel and embarks on his hurdling career in the Christmas Festival Dec 26th-29th Maiden Hurdle.

Marlay Park is the interesting one in opposition despite his lack of a recent outing.

Top-weight Strange Encounter rates the one they all have to beat in the first division of the Greenmount Annual Membership Handicap Hurdle, while Loughwell Star should appreciate the step back up in trip in division two.

Useful hurdler Larkwing has done enough in three starts over birch to suggest he can figure in the Munster Beginners Chase, but he'll need to raise his game a little to see off Emergency Exit, if the latter is back on song.

The concluding Friends Of Greenmount Handicap Chase is a wide-open affair, but Strylea shouldn't be far away when it matters most if resuming where she left off back in May.
