Recharge blow for Prendergast

Recharge is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering an injury.

Lady O'Reilly's colt, who was fifth to Fame And Glory in the Irish Derby on his latest start, is expected to be back in action next year.

He has been taken out of all of his engagements, including York's Juddmonte International and the Celebration Mile at Goodwood.

'He had a slight injury and we decided to take him out of all engagements and give him a break,' said trainer Kevin Prendergast.

'It's not serious, he'll be back no problem. We won't bring him back this season, but we'll have him again next year.'
