King fine after Gowran spill

Tom Taaffe reports Kicking King to be 'absolutely fine' following his fall on his seasonal debut at Gowran Park on Saturday.

The 2005 Cheltenham Gold Cup hero came down at the third fence when in second place behind all-the-way winner Knight Legend in the Gowran Park Champion Chase.

The County Kildare trainer now plans to run the 10-year-old in the Star Best for Racing Coverage Chase at Punchestown on October 16.

'The horse is absolutely fine and we're hoping to run him again at Punchestown in two weeks' time,' said Taaffe.
