Honolulu victorious at Doncaster

Honolulu gave Aidan O'Brien and Johnny Murtagh yet another big-race success when running away with the National Express Doncaster Cup.

The 15-8 favourite travelled strongly throughout and took over from long-time leader Royal And Regal a furlong out. He soon began to assert and only had to be kept up to his work to score by four lengths from the staying-on Balkan Knight.

Murtagh said: 'He's a lovely horse and won well. He's been working well and Aidan has been delighted with him. Paddy Power were suitably impressed and cut Honolulu from 25s to 20-1 for the Melbourne Cup.
