Alleged return for Dylan

Last year's Budweiser Irish Derby winner Dylan Thomas is set to make his seasonal debut in the Listed Ascon Rohcon Alleged Stakes  at the Curragh this Sunday.

His trainer Aidan O'Brien has also entered Grafton Street and last year's Dante Stakes hero Septimus for the 10 furlongs contest.

Feature contest on an eight race programme is the Group 3 Castlemartin and La Louviere Studs Gladness Stakes for which there are 13 entries, including last years winner Common World.

There are three likely overseas challengers in course winner Jedburgh, Prince of Light and Steenberg, while Aidan O'Brien is solely represented by Marcus Andronicus.

David Wachman who has had a fine start to the new season saddles Danehill Music, while John Oxx will be represented by the hat trick seeking Farinelli. Local trainer Kevin Prendergast meanwhile has entered both Decado and prolific Stakes Race winner Mustameet.

Boca Dancer, winner of the Lanwades and Staffordstown Studs Stakes at the Curragh last October puts her unbeaten record on the line in the Verglas Loughbrown Stakes. The 7 furlongs Listed contest has attracted an entry of 18, which includes Group 3 winner Rabatash, while Hinton Admiral is the sole British trained challenger.

Aidan O'Brien meanwhile will select between Astronomer Royal, Brave Tin Soldier, recent Maiden winner Honoured Guest and Trinity College. Ger Lyons has entered Little White Lie, which goes for a quick follow up having scored here on the opening day of the season.

National Hunt followers are well catered for in the Peter Byrne Kildare Race where Macs Joy has his final spin before attempting to retain his Punchestown Champion Hurdle crown in two weeks time.

The ground is currently good to yielding, good in places.
