Beef eyeing up Lexus at Leopardstown

Beef Or Salmon warms up for a tilt at a fourth Lexus Chase crown with a run in the Irish Racing Yearbook Hurdle at Fairyhouse tomorrow.

Michael Hourigan's pride and joy turned over Cheltenham Gold Cup winner War Of Attrition in the James Nicholson Chase at Down Royal last month before losing little in defeat behind Kauto Star in the Betfair Chase at Haydock.

The 10-year-old, successful in the 2002, 2004 and 2005 renewals of the Lexus at Leopardstown over Christmas, faces 10 rivals over two and a quarter miles.
