Katie-George Dunlevy is a gifted sportswoman who has competed at international level in athletics, swimming and rowing.

Prior to declaring for Ireland, she won gold with Great Britain’s LTA mixed four crew in the World Rowing Championships of 2004 and 2005.

She transferred to cycling in August 2011 and has adapted quickly. Piloted by Louise Moriarty, Katie-George achieved a promising 11th place in 2011′s UCI World Paracycling Road Championships.

Dunlevy then had a change in pilot to Sandra Fitzgerald. In their first year of racing together this new pairing placed seventh in the 3km pursuit at the World Track Championships in January 2012, followed up by fifth in the Road World Cup in Rome May 2012.

This impressive run of form leaves them in a fantastic position going into London.
