Sighted pilot Fran and her stroke Catherine Walsh have been in great form over the past two years, becoming Ireland’s most successful tandem pairing.

They won bronze medals at both UCI World Championships in 2011 (track and road). They followed this up with gold in the Segovia leg of the 2011 World Cup. In the 2012 World Cup (road) they achieved fourth.

Impressive performances like this suggest they will be among the favourites at London 2012, which will be Fran’s first games.
