Tom Leahy is an impressive athlete having competed at seven Paralympic Games over a number of disciplines.

In total, he has collected three gold, three silver and two bronze medals.

He won his first gold in New York in 1984 in the shot put and four years later won gold for boccia in Seoul.

At the Sydney 2000 Games he set a world record in winning the discus gold medal.

Leahy has also competed in numerous world championships; the most recent of which was Lisbon in 2010.

Leahy will compete in the BC2 mixed individual event and the BC1/BC2 mixed team event in London 2012.
