Johnny Cronin makes boccia last 16

Johnny Cronin has won his Paralympic BC3 mixed individual boccia seeding match to reach the last 16; however, Tom Leahy and Roberta Connolly have bowed out of the BC2 event at the ExCel Arena.

Cronin beat his Singaporean competitor Nurul Mohammad 6-4.

Cronin has now progressed to the final sixteen in the competition and will compete tomorrow at 12:30.

Leahy lost his BC2 mixed individual last 32 clash with Portugal's Fernando Ferreira on a 6-1 scoreline.

Connolly lost her last 32 clash against Robert Mezik of Slovakia 5-2.
