D'Urso and Dilleen through to junior final
Friday, 7 August 2009 19:23Ireland's female rowing duo, Laura D'Urso and Lisa Dilleen, have secured a place in the finals of the Women's Double Scull JW2X at the Junior World Rowing Championships in Brive, France on Friday. The final takes place on Saturday.
Ireland's female rowing duo, Laura D'Urso and Lisa Dilleen, have secured a place in the finals of the Womens Double Scull JW2X at the Junior World Rowing Championships in Brive, France on Friday. The final takes place on Saturday.
Competing in the second of the two semi-finals, the Irish crew finish second to a strong finishing German crew but ahead of the third placed Italians. Their finishing time was 7.12.87 for the 2,000 metre course.
The six countries to line up in tomorrow's final will be Germany , Ireland, Italy, Czech Republic , China and Romania.
The final will take place tomorrow at 1.35pm local time (12.45pm Irish time).
