Ireland outclass Canada in international

Ireland beat Canada 4-1 in an international match held on Friday night in the Irish badminton national training centre in Marino. 

Canada, the Commonwealth fifth seeds, travelled to Ireland to prepare for the upcoming Commonwealth games.

Ireland won the women’s doubles, men’s doubles, women’s singles and mixed doubles.

The Canadian team did pick up some consolation, taking the men's singles.

Next up for the Irish team is a match today against South Africa in the Galway lawn tennis club at 15:30 – the match will be streamed live on www.badmintonIreland.tv
