Gaskin falls at Irish Squash Open

Ireland’s last representative at the Cannon Kirk Homes Irish Squash Open bowed out today at the semi-final stage.

Arthur Gaskin, ranked eight in the world, lost to Scotland’s Alan Clyne 3-0 in the men’s semi-final at Fitwilliam.

In the Ladies’ semis, 16-year-old Egyptian Nouran Ahmed Gohar defeated her American opponent Olivia Blatchford 3-0, while England’s Sarah Kippax beat Tesni Evans 3-1.

Women's results:

Nouran Ahmed Gohar (EGY) beat Olivia Blatchford (USA) 11/8, 13/11, 11/4.
