Aileen Morrison takes second in Madrid triathlon

Aileen Morrison secured second place in the Madrid ITU Triathlon World Series on Saturday.

Switzerland’s Nicola Spirig won the event, defending her 2011 title in the process. Barbara Riveros Diaz of Chile was third.

“I can’t believe I managed to hold on for second,” said Morrison.

“I’m really delighted with that.”
