David McCann (39) rides for the RTS Racing Team, a Taiwanese-registered UCI Continental team.

McCann was the Irish national road race champion in 2000, 2001 and 2006.

He has also won the Irish National Time-Trial Championships a record six times - 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2009 and 2010.

In 2005, McCann won the Tour of Korea. In 2006 he won the Tour of Indonesia; two stages in the Tour of Thailand; one stage at the Tour of Qinghai Lake and one stage in the Tour of Azerbaijan. He represented Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games time trial, finishing fifth.

In September 2009, McCann finished in 11th in the World Championships Elite Time Trial in Mendrisio, Switzerland.

He rode on the Irish three man team for the 2010 World Championships alongside Nicolas Roche and Matt Brammeier, finishing 68th.

The men's individual time trial will take place on 31 July. Start time is 2.15pm.
