Andrzej Jezierski (31) competed for Poland as a sprint canoer from 2002 to 2005.

He won five medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with two golds (C-4 1000m: 2002, 2005), one silver (C-1 200m: 2002), and two bronzes (C-4 500m: 2005, C-4 1000m: 2003).

Jezierski lives with his family in Ballincollig, Co Cork and trains at the National Rowing Centre in Farran Wood.

Jezierski overcame extremely difficult conditions to take the second qualifying place in the C1 200m at the European Sprint Canoe Qualifier in Poznan, Poland, on 17 May.

First in action on 10 August in the heats. Start time is 9.30am.
