Athletics: Ireland’s sole representative in the men’s marathon was Mark Kenneally. The 31-year-old from Dublin is the reigning Irish 10,000m champion and finished 57th, 13 minutes 12 seconds off the pace.
Stephen Kiprotich stunned the Kenyan challenge to win the event.
