Shooting: The second stage of Qualification in the Men’s Trap saw Longford's Derek Burnett finish in 27th place overall on 116 points. Only the top six of the 34 competitors made the final

Athletics: Derval O’Rourke secured her place in the semi-finals of the 100m Hurdles with a time 12.91 in her heat this morning..

With the top three in each heat qualifying automatically, her fourth place finish was enough to see her through as the fastest loser

Sailing: There was disappointment for Annalise Murphy in the medal race of the Laser Radial Class at Weymouth. Murphy finished fifth in the final race, but her three rivals for the medals all finished ahead of her - she had to settle for fourth overall.

Sailing: Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern in the 49er finished 16th in races 14 and 15 to lie 14th overall. It was not enough to get to the medal race as only the top 10 made it through.

Sailing: Ger Owens and Scott Flanagan are 27th overall after eight races races in the 470 Class. Races 9 & 10 to come on Tuesday.

Boxing: Katie Taylor turned in a brilliant performance to defeat Britain's Natasha Jonas in the lightweight division on a 26-15 scoreline. Taylor is now guaranteed at least a bronze medal.

She will meet Mavzuna Chorieva of Tajikistan in the semi-final on Wednesday afternoon.

Equestrian: Cian O'Connor was in action in the Greenwich Arena for the third qualification round in the individual jumping. He and Blue Loyd picked up 12 faults overall. Added to the eight faults of yesterday, it was not enough to get him into the final round. He finished joint 38th of the 51 riders, with only the top 35 advancing.
