World champion Roberto Cammarelle added Olympic gold to his resume as he stopped China's Zhang Zhilei in the Olympic super-heavyweight final on Sunday.
Zhang, a bronze medallist at the World Championships last year, looked totally out of his depth from the first bell as Cammarelle crunched hooks into his jaw.
The Chinese did at least prove he could take a punch but despite showing lots of lateral head movement he was regularly caught.
It seemed only a matter of time before the big hulk came crashing down and Cammarelle dropped him with a left hook in the fourth round, after which the referee mercifully brought an end to Zhang’s punishment.
Giant Briton David Price, who was stopped by hard hitting Cammarrelle in the semi-final second round, and Ukraine's Vyacheslav Glazkov won bronze medals.
