Ireland have finished fourth in the Men’s Lightweight Four B final.

Gearóid Towey had to withdraw as a spate of illnesses hit the regatta.

Towey was replaced by Richard Coakley for the race.

A nasty illness has been circulating around the regatta all week and Germany's lightweight men's four had to withdraw from yesterday's semi-final after three crew-members were affected.

The Irish crew of Paul Griffin (Stroke), Richard Archibald, Coakley and Cathal Moynihan (Bow) finished in a time of 6 minutes 6.02 seconds.

Italy won the race clocking a time of 6:3.12, China finished second in a time of 6:04.48, while Australia claimed third in 6:05.26.
