Perry and Gaskin win squash titles

Madeline Perry and Arthur Gaskin were crowned Irish Squash National Champions on Sunday in Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club.

Perry was pushed all the way, coming from 1-0 down against Aisling Blake.

The world number four eventually won 3-2 (7-11, 11-8, 11-8, 9-11, 11-7) to claim her 13th title.

In the men’s competition, Carlow's Arthur Gaskin took a well-earned first Nationals Title.

Taking on last year’s champion John Rooney, Gaskin led from the start and claimed a 3-1 victory (11-7, 14-16, 11-3, 11-6).
