Magee reaches Olympics with win

Irish number one Scott Evans lost in three sets to the Britain’s Rajiv Ouseph in the first round of the Irish International tournament in Lisburn.
Evans took the opener 21-9 but lost the next two sets 21-18 and 21-10.
There was better news for Chloe Magee, who secured Olympic qualification in the women’s singles.
The Donegal player, who is seeded sixth, beat Barbara Matias of France 21-12, 21-13, before seeing off Dutch number two Judith Meulendijks 13-21 21-11 21-11 to reach the quarter-finals.
