Irish guaranteed four kickboxing silvers

The Ireland kickboxing team are guaranteed at least four silver medals at the World Kickboxing Championships in Citywest, Dublin.

Brian Brosnan claimed a spot in the final of the full contact -71kg division after beating Mykola Osobskyi comfortably in his semi-final on Friday.

Brosnan followed the semi-contact trio of Robbie McMenamy, Des Leonard and Ashley St Mart who all booked their final places on Thursday evening.

Elsewhere Niall McDermott won a bronze medal after he lost out to Davyd Ahakhanov of Ukraine in his -67kg semi-final.
