Super 2000 World Rally Champion Craig Breen brings his 2012 season to a close this weekend when he competes in Rallye du Var, in south eastern France.

The rally forms the final round in the French Tarmac Championship and sees Breen reunite with French team Sainteloc Racing for the Provence-based three-day event.

The rally begins Friday afternoon with the opening four stages, all of which are located around the city of Sainte Maxime.

"Everyone in this category will want to challenge me" - Craig Breen

Looking ahead to his final event of another successful year Breen said: "It's great to link up again with Sainteloc. They have been very supportive to me this year and I've enjoyed my time with them on the IRC (Intercontinental Rally Challenge) events.

Breen added: "We completed full day testing in the Peugeot 207 S2000 on Tuesday and all looks good for the rally. This is a nice way to round off the year, there's no pressure on me but I still want to end the season with a good performance for the team.

“I come to the event as the new S2000 World Champion, so for sure everyone in this category will want to challenge me.”
