Laverty to race in Dublin street event

Eugene Laverty has confirmed his participation at the Bavaria City Racing Dublin event on 3 June.

Laverty will ride his Aprilia Superbike along the route which starts at the Convention Centre and will continue along Customs House Quay before crossing Butt Bridge. It chicane’s at D’Olier Street, then past College Green and the Central Bank on Dame Street before reaching the chequered flag on O’Connell Bridge.

Bavaria City Racing Dublin is a free public event and over 150,000 people are expected to line the streets of the capital.

Laverty finished fourth in the World Superbike Championship in 2011 and has since teamed up with the Max Biaggi at the Aprilia team to push for the top spot.

The Aprilia team joins an ever growing line-up of international and domestic motorsport talent that includes the Vodafone McClaren F1 team and the Breezemount Motorsport GP2 team.
