Laverty misses out on podium finishes

Eugene Laverty missed out on a podium place in the two races at the World Superbike Championship round at Aragon in Spain.

The Toomebridge rider finished fourth in the opening race, claimed by Laverty’s teammate Marco Melandri.

Max Biaggi took victory in the final race with Laverty back in sixth.

Jonathan Rea missed the race after having surgery on a wrist injury.
