Paul Di Resta looks set to leave Force India

Paul Di Resta has admitted he is unlikely to remain at Force India next season but confirmed there is a chance he could move to Sauber.

Di Resta, who was giving evidence in a case at the High Court, said he was talking to team bosses but it looked likely that he would lose his Force India seat.

The 27-year-old Scot said he thought Force India, who confirmed Nico Hulkenberg as one half of their 2014 driver team last month, were having discussions with rival driver Sergio Perez to fill the second spot.

Di Resta said his manager had chatted to Sauber about a possible move and he said he was discussing driving for Mercedes-Benz in the DTM touring car series.

"(Force India) are speaking to me every two or three days," Di Resta said. "They may be interested. They may not. I believe they are in talks with Sergio Perez."

He added: "It's looking likely that I will not be driving."

Di Resta revealed the possible move to Sauber, adding: "The only team that really has any possibility is Sauber. There has been nothing other than a chat with my manager."

Di Resta added: "I am speaking to Mercedes-Benz for DTM."

He was giving evidence at a High Court trial in London after being sued by his former manager Anthony Hamilton - the father of Formula One star Lewis Hamilton - for wrongful termination of a contract.
