Motorsport Ireland President John Naylor has been included in a list of seven candidates to be a potential vice-President of the FIA under Ari Vatanen, if Vatanen is elected next month, reports RTÉ’s John Kenny.
Vatanen, the former World Rally champion, is one of two candidates in the running for the head of motorsport’s governing body.
The elections are set to take place on 23 October in Paris.
Vatanen is up-against Jean Todt, the ex-Ferrari boss, with the victor taking over from Max Mosley who is stepping down from the position.
