Meeke claims Rally of Scotland win

Kris Meeke claimed victory in the Rally of Scotland after the final stage was abandoned when a competitor crashed ahead of him.

The Peugeot UK driver was 20 seconds ahead of rival Guy Wilkes in a Skoda going into the final stage.

Meeke, who claimed the Intercontinental Rally Challenge crown by winning in San Remo in September, has confirmed his dominance of the competition with today's victory in the IRC final round.

Local Scot Alister McRae, driving a Proton, took third place.
