Ferrari fail to quell Raikkonen rumours

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has fuelled speculation Kimi Raikkonen is to leave the team at the end of the year.

Raikkonen is currently a man in form after finishing on the podium at yesterday's Italian Grand Prix for the fourth successive race.

The Finn has now taken 30 points from the last four grands prix, in stark contrast to the 10 won from the previous nine.

Yet rumours he is to be replaced by Fernando Alonso from next year persist, with Domenicali again rejecting the chance to dismiss the gossip.

Pointedly asked to officially confirm Raikkonen will be driving a Ferrari in 2010, as he is contracted to do, Domenicali fudged the issue.

'As we have said, we don't want to discuss this now because I don't think it is correct,' deferred Domenicali.

'As you know, Kimi has a contract with us next year, and this is what we can say now.
"We are happy with the performance of Kimi because he is driving fantastically, very, very well.

'The team is very, very happy with the way he has performed, above all in the second part of the season.

'He has been on the podium in the last four races, scoring more points than any other driver, including those fighting for the championship.'
