Ireland third in Kyalami practice

Lebanon's Daniel Morad topped the timesheets at the end of the first day of practice for the A1GP at Kyalami in South Africa.

Germany were second fastest, with Ireland's Adam Carroll in third place.

Qualifying for the sprint and feature races at round five of the championship takes place on Saturday afternoon.

Ireland lead the championship by 12 points from Switzerland going into the fifth round of the series at Kyalami this weekend.

Dutchman Jeroen Bleekemolen was fourth quickest on his return to the A1 Team Netherlands car.

Filipe Albuquerque was fifth for Portugal ahead of the home favourite Adrian Zaugg for South Africa.

Neel Jani was seventh for Switzerland, ahead of Australia's John Martin, Monaco's Clivio Piccione and New Zealand's Earl Bamber.
