McRae eager for return to action

Colin McRae will return to the world rally championship in Australia next month when he again gets behind the wheel of a Skoda.

The former world champion made his comeback in a one-off drive in September's Wales Rally GB with Skoda, finishing seventh.

At the time he expressed his wish to return to world rallying on a full-time basis and he has paved the way for a return in 2006 by agreeing to contest the season finale for Skoda.

The 37-year-old said: "Australia is an event I always enjoy going to, even though the surface and the nature of the roads makes it one of the most difficult in the championship.

" I have had some really good results there and, having shown at Rally GB what the Fabia can do, I think that we can get another good result this time because we should be able to make good use of our road position."
