Holders Sligo to meet Bohs in semis

Sligo Rovers - The Cup holders will face a tricky away day at Dalymount Park if they are to return to Aviva Stadium

Cup holders Sligo Rovers face an away tie at Dalymount Park after being drawn against Bohemians in the semi-finals of the FAI Ford Cup.

The draw, which took place live on RTÉ’s MNS earlier this evening, sees Pete Mahon’s St Patrick’s Athletic up against either Limerick or Shelbourne in the other semi-final.

If Saints are to break their fifty-year Cup duck, they will have to win away at either Tolka Park or Jackman Park after being drawn last out of the hat.

One of the semi-finals will take place on Friday, 14 October at 7.35pm and the other on Sunday, 16 October at 3.30pm.
