Ireland secured a 1-1 draw against Scotland in the Men's Hockey Investec London Cup on the final play of the game, thanks to Timmy Cockram converting with just seconds left on the clock.

Scotland went ahead in the 14th minute with Kenny Bain putting his side ahead, a lead they managed to hold right until the 70th minute.

Coach Craig Fulton said "We created some good attacking phases. Credit to Scotland, who really made it difficult for us, but our belief and never-say-die attitude saw us through to draw the game in the last 30 seconds. I am proud of the team's performance".

Ireland will have a rest day tomorrow before facing England on Saturday at 12pm. The final will follow on Sunday
