Europe hold a 7-5 lead over America after the opening day of the Junior Solheim Cup at the Knightsbrook Hotel Spa & Golf Resort in Trim, Co Meath.
Leona and Lisa Maguire combined in the morning foursomes for a one hole win over their American opponents as Europe took a 5-1 lead.
The Irish twins were split up in the fourballs.
Lisa Maguire and Charley Hull lost by one hole, while Leona Maguire and Laure Taylor were 3&2 winners.
Europe require 5½ points from the remaining 12 singles for victory.
