Three Irish players have made the cut at the European Tour Final Qualifying School near Barcelona.

Kevin Phelan shot a round of 71 to lie in 41st place after four rounds on five-under-par, nine shots off the leader Carlos Del Moral of Spain.

David Higgins shot a fourth round 70 and Ruaidhri McGee a 74, meaning both made the cut right on the mark of two-under.

The top 25 and ties after six rounds will get their main Tour cards.

Meanwhile, Graeme McDowell will end the year as Europe's No. 1 if he can win the DP Tour Championship event which starts tomorrow in Dubai.

McDowell lies in third spot in the Race to Dubai standings behind Henrik Stenson and second-placed Justin Rose.
