Britain's Lee Westwood pulled out of the PGA Championship with food poisoning after five holes of his second round at Wentworth.
The 35-year-old Englishman was two-over-par for his round, and seven-over for the tournament, when he withdrew.
Westwood has 18 European Tour victories to his credit but has never won the PGA. His best finish in the tour's flagship event is a tie for second in 2000.
The Ryder Cup player has been in good form this season and occupies third place on the order of merit.
