Westwood confirmed for JP Pro-Am

Europe's No 1 player for 2009, Lee Westwood and the man who pursued him for the title Rory McIlroy will line up alongside Tiger Woods and defending champion Padraig Harrington in the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am on 5/6 July next.

The event will take place at the Adare Manor Hotel and Golf resort the week before the British Open at St Andrews.

Woods and Harrington had already confirmed their participation in a field which also includes Ian Poulter and Paul Casey.

The Pro-Am is staged every five years and in 2005, in conjunction with the Charity Auction, the event raised over €30million for national and local mid-west charities.
