Hoey and Caldwell claim Tour cards

Ireland's Michael Hoey and Jonathan Caldwell will both play on next season's European Tour after earning their cards at the Qualifying School final in Spain.

Sweden's Oskar Henningsson won the tournament, finishing on a massive 21-under par, with Australia's Wade Ormsby and Spain's Carlos Del Moral four shots back in joint second.

A total of 32 golfers booked their place on next season's tour and a fine final round of 67, which included an eagle on the par-five 12th saw Hoey finish in eighth place.

Caldwell had to face an anxious wait in the clubhouse to see if his six-under par total would be enough to secure him a place, which it proved to be.

However while there was joy for both Hoey and Caldwell, fellow Irishman Michael McGeady missed out on a place on the tour by a single shot when he bogeyed his final hole to finish on five-under.
