Caldwell and McGeady in contention for cards

Irish duo Jonathan Caldwell and Michael McGeady go into the final round of the European Tour qualifying school, with every chance of winning a tour card tomorrow.

Jonathan Caldwell is currently in joint 15th place on eight-under, while McGeady is three shots further back in joint 30th.

The top 30 players from the field of 73 will all earn tour cards as the even draws to a climax tomorrow.

Pacesetter Oskar Henningsson of Sweden is all but certain of earning a card as he enters the final day on -18, two ahead of Spaniard Carlos Del Moral.

English rookie Danny Willett, the overnight leader, slipped back into third after an eventful 74 which included three birdies, an eagle and seven bogeys.

Former Ryder Cup players Joakim Haeggman and Andrew Coltart finished alongside Wood on 11 under.

Scotland's Callum Macaulay, the only amateur left in the six-round event, stayed on course for a card after a 71 left him in equal 15th, while Chris Doak followed his fourth-round 62 with a 71 to lie 21st.
