Higgins and Walton well place in Qualifying School

David Higgins and Philip Walton are both well placed to make the cut at San Roque in the European Tour Qualifying School.

Higgins is one-under par after his round of 73, while Walton is two-over after his round of 69.

After tomorrow's fourth round, the top 70 plus ties will advance to the final two rounds.

Pacesetter Carlos Rodiles, buoyed by his 64 in the second round, cemented his place at the top with a three-under 69 for a 13-under total.

'I'm not thinking about winning it just yet but we're at halfway and I have a good margin for my card,' Rodiles said.

'If I'm still leading with a round to go then I might start thinking about winning but at the moment I'm just thinking of the top 10.'

Former European Tour winner Warren Bennett and Norway's Eirik Tage Johansen, who both carded 72s, share third on eight under.

Scotsman David Drysdale, who lost his European Tour card by a single place on the Order of Merit for the second year in a row this season, continued his good progress with a 69 to share sixth on six under.
