Cora Staunton has been named The Irish Times / Irish Sports Council Sportswoman of the Month for November.

The Mayo footballer is the final sportswoman to be in the running for the Sportswoman of the Year award.

Most recently, Staunton collected a remarkable ninth All-Star award - demonstrating the impact she has had on Gaelic football since making her debut for Mayo in 1995, while she scored 1-5 as Carnacon regained the All-Ireland senior ladies’ club football championship title.

Staunton now has four All-Ireland county and five club titles.

This is the second time that Cora has been nominated for the Sportswoman of the Year award.
