Cork remain on course for a fourth successive TG4 All-Ireland Ladies' Football Championship after booking a final showdown with Monaghan on 28 September.

The remarkable Rebelettes demolished Tyrone by 19 points in Saturday's semi-final clash at O'Connor Park in Tullamore but Valerie Mulcahy could miss the final after she was sent off in the dying seconds.

Attacker Nollaig Cleary was handed the player of the match award as she top-scored for Cork with 1-06 but this was a day when all six starting forwards were on target.

Of Cork's total, all but one point was contributed from play and they will start as hot favourites to see off Ulster champions Monaghan in three weeks' time.

First-half goals from Amy O'Shea, Mary O'Connor and Mulcahy helped Cork into a 3-08 to 0-07 half-time advantage and the fourth goal arrived in the final minute from Cleary.

Seconds before the full-time hooter, Mulcahy was issued with a
straight red card for what seemed like back-chat to the referee, and her final participation is now in doubt.
