Cork’s Paddy Kelly has been called up to the Ireland International Rules squad as a replacement for Kerry's Darran O'Sullivan.

O'Sullivan was forced to pull out due to his involvement for Mid Kerry in the Kerry SFC final, meaning Kelly will now be on the plane bound for Australia on Saturday instead.

There may be further call-ups as squad members Stephen Cluxton, Leighton Glynn, Finian Hanley and Colm Begley are also still involved in club action.

Donegal defender Karl Lacey was added to the squad earlier in the week.

Meanwhile, Derry player Chrissy McKaigue has been released by AFL side Sydney Swans.

McKaigue has been delisted by the Harbour City club after his two-year rookie contract expired and is expected to return to the Derry fold next year.

The versatile player returned home at the end of the AFL season and is currently in Anthony Tohill's panel for the two-game series.
