Following the defeat to Tipperary in the All-Ireland semi-final, RTÉ analyst and former All-Ireland winner with Cork, Donal Óg Cusack had much to say about the hurling landscape within the Rebel County.

The lack of underage success; coaching structures; colleges hurling and the the proposed Centre of Excellence all featured in what was a rather bleak view.
