Limerick hurling boss TJ Ryan will remain in charge of the Treaty County for the next three years.
Ryan’s Limerick bowed out of this year’s hurling championship on Sunday following a 2-13 to 0-17 defeat to Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final at Croke Park.
But Ryan’s side impressed throughout their campaign as they reached the Munster final, losing to Cork, before bouncing back to account for Wexford in the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
The Limerick County Board confirmed the news of Ryan’s extension this evening in a statement which read: “Limerick CLG is delighted to announce that TJ Ryan will continue in his role as Limerick Senior Hurling Manager for a further 3 year term.
“TJ, his backroom team and the entire panel should be complimented for their unwavering commitment to the Limerick jersey and the entertainment they gave all Limerick fans this season.
“The board look forward to offering our continuing support in 2015 and beyond.”
